Amston Manor

Amston Manor

This “Mansion on the Hill” was built in 1929 by Charles Ams who owned the town of Turnerville and changed the name to the present day “Amston.”    The house sits on 10 acres of land  with a pond, and looks out over tree tops and a beautiful landscape.

Within short driving distances, you will find Mystic Seaport and Aquarium, Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casinos, Goodspeed Opera House, the beautiful seaport village of Essex  located on the Connecticut River, which offers outstanding cuisine at the historic Griswold Inn, and shopping  in a beautiful, quaint atmosphere.   Also within easy reach are Boston, Providence, Hartford and Springfield.

Enjoy the day antiquing at numerous country shops along the winding roads or enjoy the scenery with a hike or bike ride along the Airline Trail with a history of its own, or if you are a golfer, visit one of the many fine golf courses within short reach or tour the Connecticut Wine Trail and visit some of Connecticut’s fine Wineries.
